Abano is a small town in the heart of the Terme Euganee, the thermal area whose water was renown for its healing properties ever since the times of ancient Rome. And in fact in Abano there is an important archaeological site dating from the 6th century b.C., a testament to the ancient origin of Aponus, the Latin name of the place. We suggest you visit it, as well as the Euganean hills with their luxuriant nature, their small villages, the medieval abbeys and their traditional food and wines.
The hills are part of the Regional Park of the Euganean Hills, and are crossed by small roads that pass through woods of chestnut trees and oaks, vineyards and olive groves. They are perfect for mountain-biking as well.
Those guests who prefer to stay in Abano and just relax can walk to the shopping area of the center, with its bars, ice-cream parlors, and restaurants which stay open all year long. Or they can take a short walk to the House of Butterflies, a peculiar tropical garden which hosts 400 varieties of butterflies, flying freely among the plants. By train or by car you can easily reach Padova (10 minutes), Venice (40 minutes), and Verona (60 minutes), wonderful art-cities which are surely worth a visit during your stay at our hotel.

By car
Hotel Terme Paradiso is ten minutes away from the exit “Terme Euganee” of highway A13 Padua-Bologna. Once you're out of the highway follow the signs to Abano Terme and then to the Polyclinic Hospital of Abano Terme. The hotel is in via Flacco, one minute away from the hospital.
By train
The train station of Terme Euganee (on the Padua-Bologna line) is 3.5 km away from the hotel. Only regional trains stop there, not the high-speed “frecce”. We suggest you change train in Padua or Bologna.
By plane
The closest airport to Abano Terme is Venice Marco Polo (60 km). From the airport you can take the SITA bus, which gets to Abano by highway.
