The thermal mud, with its unique thermo-mineral characteristics and its anti-inflammatory properties, is composed of clay and thermal water. This compound must lay for about two months in special pools.
During this period the mud is soaked in thermal water that, together with sun rays, allows specific algae to grow that will synthesize the substances (sodium, potassium, magnesium, iodine, bromine and silicon) that give it its unique therapeutic properties.
The traditional mud-therapy treatment takes place in the thermal center of our hotel.
The mud therapy lasts from 15 to 30 minutes, depending on the treatment. After the mud bath the patient washes the mud off with with a hot shower and lays afterwards in thermal water at a temperature of 38°C for eight to ten minutes. After the treatment the patient must rest in bed for half an hour to one hour, to allow for an adequate sweat reaction. The treatment can then be followed by a reaction massage which lasts between 15 and 25 minutes.
